Cinecaster Pro ("the app", "we", "us") is a video calling and screen-recording application. This policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, a password (stored securely and in hashed form by our authentication provider), and an optional display name.
• Guest display name. If you join a call from an invite link without an account, we use only the display name you enter, for that call.
• Call audio and video. During a call your camera and microphone streams are transmitted in real time to other participants. We do not store call media unless you choose to record.
• Recordings. If you record a call, the resulting video file is saved to your account so you can play back, download, save, share, or delete it.
• Basic technical data. Standard information needed to operate the service (for example, connection and error logs from our infrastructure providers).

We do not use third-party advertising or sell your personal information.

Device permissions

• Camera and microphone — to send your video and audio during a call.
• Photos / media / storage — only when you tap "Save", to store a recording into your device's gallery. The app does not read your existing photos or videos.

How we use information

• To provide video calls, invitations, and screen/call recording.
• To create and manage your account and your saved recordings.
• To keep the service secure and to diagnose problems.

Service providers

We rely on the following processors to run the app:

• Supabase — account authentication, database, and storage of your recordings.
• LiveKit — real-time transport of call audio and video.
• Google Play — app distribution (for the Android app).

These providers process data only to deliver their part of the service.

Data storage, retention, and deletion

• Your account data and recordings are retained until you delete them or close your account.
• You can delete any recording at any time from within the app.
• To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below and we will remove it.

Sharing

Content is shared only at your direction — for example when you send an invite link or share a recording link. Anyone with a link you share may access that content. We do not otherwise share your personal information except with the service providers above or where required by law.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
